History Of Caltron Components

Caltron Components Corporation was originally formed in 1964 as the direct sales arm of a large manufacturer of printed circuit boards, connectors, switches, and magnetic products. In 1967 it was purchased from the parent company and was reorganized as an independent Manufacturers’ Representative company called Caltronix.

In 1986, Mr. Robert Roumimper was hired to assist in rebuilding the company. A concerted effort was made to prepare the company for future growth. Additional personnel and product lines were added; the headquarters office and computer equipment was vastly improved; and a Singapore operation was established to better serve the many customers in Southeast Asia.

In 1988 Mr. Shane entered into a long term purchase agreement with Mr. Roumimper to take over ownership. In 1996 Mr. Roumimper became owner and President of the company. In 2002, Mr. Arnold Moore joined the company to strengthen it's sales and engineering skills. Arnold is the Vice President and has become a partner in the firm. The company has grown to 18 people with offices located in Santa Clara and Singapore. It has a technically trained staff experienced in electro-mechanical and semiconductor components, DC-DC converters and switching power supplies.
